Tackling Abuse from Authorities & those Serving in Uniform Conference
On Friday 25th October 2024, I co-hosted the Tackling Abuse from Authorities & those Serving in Uniform Conference International Women’s Conference with Ms Afiffa Shah, Founder of EBE Connect Consultants.
This private invitation-only event was for individuals with lived experience of abuse by someone in uniform, both in the UK & internationally to share their stories with the attendees and to discuss a proposal for a new piece of international legislation at the United Nations.
Thank you to all those that came along. I’ve posted several images above of the pre-recorded talks and the presentation by Nkoyo Lynn Majebi below.

I believe the Conference was very controversial but it needed to be done, many attendees from Uk and the International Women who took part was very welcoming of the cause.
They deal with these issues on a daily basis, I was humbled by their talks as Speakers, we got an insight in to how the system works in these developing countries.
They are very brave women who put their lives at risk by supporting young girls and women affected by sexual abuse running small hostels.
We shall March Forward and make sure we are heard by United Nations.
This would never of been possible without one man, I respect him dearly as he was the perfect host and Project Manager. I can’t thank him enough, he organised everything and took a lot of pressure of me. I believe he is one of Leicester’s unsung Heroes: his always helped a lot of organisations selflessly . A big thank you from me and I look forward to doing many projects with him.
